An Easy Solution: Pheromone Spray and Diffuser

Dog pheromone sprays and diffusers can be bought according to the needs of each dog.  The most common is the diffuser that plugs into an outlet in the house.  This type of a diffuser emits the spray into the house on a regular basis so that the environment is kept in at a constant pheromone level.  This type of diffuser usually lasts about four weeks before needing a re-fill, which is fairly cost effective, as the refills are around twelve dollars.  These diffusers are also used in a cat’s environment and cost and work the same way.

Another type of pheromone spray and diffuser that is used for both cats and dogs is a small spray bottle.  This type costs about twenty dollars for a sixty ounce bottle, which seems expensive, however, a few squirts of the spray goes a long way.  This type of diffuser is handy for when a pet owner needs to take her cat or dog to the vet, so that she can spray the car and the carrier about fifteen minutes beforehand so that the environment is saturated before the pet enters it.  That way, the pet continues its feeling of calm established in the home environment, and easily makes the car trip in peace.

For dogs, there is also one other type of pheromone spray and diffuser which comes in a special collar.  This collar is perfect for dogs inside or outside the house.  This diffuser works the same way the plug in diffuser works, emitting the pheromones on a regular basis.  That way the dog is constantly in the calm essence of the pheromones not matter what the environment change or experience.
